The Land of Oz is a great little bar in Fuji City, Shizuoka. The food is good, the manager is friendly, and the staff is hot! There are often a few foreigners hanging around to chat with, and for people new to Fuji, it's a good place to meet the locals.

I headed off to Korea for a conference in the middle of the Takeshima debacle. Some people suggested that I cancel the trip altogether because this was a bad time. I was warned more than once not to wander around the town for fear that I might be attacked by an angry mob. I thought most everyone was over-reacting to this island business.
