I've fixed the news feeds so that they now have a link to the original article. In the end, I gave up on the module I was using, and I wrote my own custom XML parser to parse the feed and include the link, since the module I was using didn't seem to work properly.

Crap. Comments aren't enabled on any of the news stories. I've fixed it, but they won't be enabled until the next round of news items gets imported into the site.

Scratch that. I fixed the comments.
Side note - any old news stories will be in the old format. It's only new items that will have the link.
